By this time the Velidians had become well aware of the Hetharcyp and Velid himself had taken notice and called for their destruction. The Velidians were financing just about anyone who was willing to fight the Hetharcy and it was at this point that the Velidians decided to retake the town that Thiaiaceph was holding.

Thiaraceph  makes overtures to the Velidians and lets it be known he is willing to give up the Hetharcyp and Eptih for control of the town. This deal is taken by the Velidians and as such they sent a small band of Siradyt with Queid support to secretly enter the town, coordinate with Thiaraceph and assassinate Eptih. By sheer coincidence the very day this small force came to the town to do their work Eptih had gone out with the majority of the Hetharcyp to reconnoiter the approaches to the town. As a result only about twenty-five percent of the Hetharcyp were in the town. The Siradyt assassins believed Eptih was still in the town and they made their move against the Hetharcyp that were present planning on killing their way to Eptih. When the action began the Hetharcyp were surprised and thus caught off guard and many were killed. Some were able to flee the town and inform Eptih of what had happened although they had no idea that Thiaraceph was involved nor did they recognize it was specifically an attempt to assassinate Eptih.

Eptih fearing a large attack called for the withdrawl of the Hetharcyp from the town, at least the people would not be held responsible for quartering combatants and might not be held account for the damage the Hetharcyp had inflicted on the Velidians.

Eptih decided to take a small band and reenter the town and try to convince Thiaraceph to take the people back to the caves, but mainly he wanted to get his mother and Reyam and her family out of the town. Thiaraceph refused to move and as much as Eptih tried he remained obstinate leaving Eptih no choice but to go to the people directly. Eptih presented the situation to the people and told them he could take them back to the caves where the would be safe. Then Thiaraeph presented his case that they should stay and without the Hetharcyp would be free from rebuke and the majority of the people choose to follow Thiaraeph. Eptih could not believe the outcome and made preparations to take away those who wished to follow. To Eptih’s further surprise Derram told him she was staying with Thiaraceph. When Eptih questioned her she related her commitment to Thiaraceph and that Eptih was now his own man capable of fending for himself no longer in need of a mother’s protection. When Eptih questioned her further she cut him short and asked him to respect her decision, which he did with a disappointed demeanor. Reyam and her family were decided upon going with Eptih and the Hetharcyp.

When Eptih saw all those gathered to follow him back to the caves the number was so few that there was no way they would be able to survive and so Eptih told them that he would take them to friendly town throughout the area deposition families in the various towns. With this news still more fell off to stay with Thiaraceph.

With that Eptih, his small band, Reyam, her family and a small group of other Mortals headed out to rejoin the rest of the Hetharcyp.

As he promised, Eptih deposited the people in various friendly towns and he kept Reyam by his side until the last possible moment when she and her family were the last to be taken in. It had become obvious to all close to the situation that they favored each other. This was a shock to some of the people, their relationship being taboo, although less so in the company of his warriors. In their culture a warrior like Eptih was to win a bride or have her given to him by a father. Some felt Eptih was taking advantage of the situation, a fatherless girl whose entire adult male family was dead. It was not the way things were done but they were not married so it was overlooked.

Thmascuid, after Eptih’s disappearance, had taken to secretly training the youth of the local area in the war arts similar to the way he had been training Eptih. At first he had a few students but eventually the project grew into an entire school with students of varying ages from all the surrounding areas. Thmascuid had turned these students into a force of highly trained warriors all without the Velidians becoming aware. His goal was to reestablish the heroes who had been nearly annihilated in the past conflicts.

These warriors being without a leader decided that they would follow Eptih away from the caves and ask him to lead them, they did this because they were committed to Thmascuid and Eptih had been his first student and a blood relative and thereby the second Hetharcyp, Thmascuid being number one. The warriors took their offer to Eptih and he accepted and thus became the head of an established order of didicated warriors trained to kill. In all at this point the Hetharcy numbered under one hunder warriors however their training made them as fierce as five hundred. Eptih accepted because he did not want what Thmascuid had been building to wither on the vine, he wanted Thmascuid’s legacy to be remembered.

This is where the major split between Thiaraceph and Eptih occured, Thiaraceph leading the people of the town and Eptih leading the Hetharcy. Although Reyam wanted to go with Eptih she could not leave what remained of her family and therefore stayed at the caves. Eptih had convinced her to do so knowing the path he was on was a danerous one and not proper for women.

Eptih left with his Hetharcyp and immediately they began using their skills to harm the Velidians as much as possible. This plan took many forms but initially the Hetharcyp terrorized the Narcirogen killing them whenever possible, killing Siradyt, attacking and dismembering Queid soldiers and evading capture as they roamed the countryside. The Hetharcyp took great pride in attacking the Narciogen at their old town and when they did no quarter was shown and as a result the cruelty of the Hetharcyp became known to all the Narciogen.

Although at first the work of the Hetharcyp went mostly unnoticed by the Velidian ruling class eventually and Velid himself, when enough had been killed and large swathes of land were left in ruin they started to take notice and with each new act of rebellion their discomfort and anger grew. With this notoriety came fame among the Mortals and thus a flock of men wishing to join in arose wherever they went. At this point the Hetharcyp were the only Mortals fighting against their Velidian overlords, the rest had long since been subjugated.

As the Hetharcyp grew so to did Eptih’s power and it became his focus to clear the town of his youth that had been lost. Therefore the Hetharcyp managed to retake the town and slaughter all the Narcirogen inhabitants, upon hearing of this news Thiaraceph decided to leave the caves and return with the people so as to reestablish the town.

One night when the Hetharcyp were camped out in the town they had retaken Thiaraceph and all the townspeople returned. Eptih could not believe the stupidity of Thiaraceph, bringing the people back to the town when the Velidians were sure to try and recapture it. Eptih let his feelings be known to Thiaraceph and the two nearly came to blows. Eptih was however happy to see his mother and Reyam and that night he spent talking with them as the Hetharcyp planned to take the people back to the caves in the morning. When morning came Thiaraceph refused to move the people again and demanded they stay in their town. This put an extreme burden on Eptih in that now his forces would be required to protect the town from the coming onslaught. Eptih tried to convince Thiaraceph to take the people back to the caves but to no avail and it became obvious to Eptih that Thiaraceph was trying to establish his authority over him.

Among the various other sects of mortals elsewhere in Existence the Hetharcyp were either loved or hated. Some felt the Hetharcyp were causing unnecessary trouble, a trouble that would only be turned around and used to cause them further harm. Others however praised the Hetharcy and wished them Success, sending supplies and men and making offers to the Hetharcyp to come and cause havoc against the Velidians in their area, some even offering additional goods for these services.

The support or lack of it for the Hetharcyp divided the Mortals and factions developed that were either pro or anti-Hetharcyp. Some groups that despised the Hetharcyp set up parties to hunt them down and so as the Hetharcyp grew so did their enemies. All of this did not deter Eptih, he was building a military force and could see that just maybe he would be able to throw the Velidian yoke from the necks of the Mortals. There were still many hurdles to cross though and at the moment the biggest one was Thiaraceph and the fate of the townspeople.

June 26, 2008

In his sadness and the anticipation of the knowing the fate of his mother, Eptih was at first paralyzed by the confusion of what had just happened, the scene of his town destroyed and the bodies laying about having had a enormous effect on him. But his rage kept him focused on what needed to be done and when night had arrived he went into action maneuvering back to the town stealthily so that he was unseen by the Velidians.

Once Eptih had made it back to what remained of the town he could see Thmascuids body up on the spike just as it had been before. The sight shocked Eptih and stoked his rage so much so that he sweat blood at that instant. Keeping himself from exploding in a rage was difficult but he managed knowing that silence now would result in a greater more brutal revenge later. Each droplet of blood that pushed forth from his skin would equal a thousand Velidian deaths and only this thought could quell his rage.

Eptih searched around for Thmascuids head but was unable to find it and so he removed Thmascuid’s impaled body from the (s)pike and carried it out of sight cursing the Velidians under his breath as he left the town unnoticed. He took the body [to a secret location] and there wrapped as much of it as he could with the little material he had with him. (Possibly a cloak or something or having grabbed some material when in the town.) and then dug a hole in the ground, placed the headless body inside and backfilled it. Once Eptih had finished these funerary tasks he set out to find his mother and Reyam. Revenge would have to wait.

Eptih found his mother and Thiaraceph who having fled the town escaped with their lives and little else. This reunion was the first between the two since his return from his travels that was not clandestine. Although Eptih was happy his mother was safe he felt an obligation to find Reyam and her family and so he agreed to meet his mother and Thiaraceph at a specific time and at a specific location then went out to find Reyam.

Eptih was not able to find Reyam as quickly as he had found his mother and every moment that passed he felt like she was descending deeper and deeper into a great danger. Eptih did not figured that Reyam would be much closer to the abandoned town then his mother had been but when he finally found her she was just on the outskirts of town mourning her father, older brothers and uncle who had been killed by the Velidians. It was horrible scene and Eptih had to carry the surviving women and children away as they did not want to leave their deceased family behind. The women and children survived only because they had been hidden by the men before the fight had begun. Reyam had lost her father, three older brothers and an uncle. Reyam, her mother, her little sister and brother, her aunt and two nieces were the only survivors.

Eptih took Reyam and her family to where he had planned to meet his mother and Thiaraceph. Reyam was in extreme anguish and Eptih comforted her and this is when Eptih’s desire for Reyam begin to grow [from a shallow lust to a strong affection] and when Reyam realized she wanted Eptih as a husband. Derram and Thiaraceph arrived sometime later and it was then that Thiaraceph recommended moving to a group of caves that he knew of nearby. Thus they all moved to the caves and there found relative safety.

By this time the Velidians had realized that Thmascuid’s body had been stolen and they desperately wanted it back and so they sent out a troop to torture any mortal they came into contact with for information and this netted them intelligence that directly implicated Eptih. Either someone had witnessed him in his clandestine raid or someone dropped his name to save themselves. This made Eptih a known and wanted figure by the Velidians, their primary target. Now this troop set out to find Eptih for the single purpose of retrieving the body of Thmascuid and the horror they inflicted on the populace was tremendous.

Eventually other exiles from the town began to hear of and gather at the makeshift community that Eptih and Thiaraceph had established. Many mortals in nearby towns shunned these people figuring that if they provided them sanctuary their town would meet a similar fate at the hands of the Velidians. As the days turned to weeks a communal system began to develop and a provisional town centered around the caves developed. Also during this time a love began to grow between Eptih and Reyam and as it became noticeable to others, talk began to proliferate about how it was wrong, it appeared that Eptih was taking advantage of a beautiful girl who was now fatherless. A wife was either a war prize or a gift of a father but never a mutual bond between two individuals. As the complaints of the people grew they were directed at Thiaraceph and it was he who brought them to Eptih. Needless to say this did not create a better relationship between the two as Eptih was offended at Thiaracephs insolence.

Thiaraceph seemed to relish his newfound status. He was now one of the few remaining heroes and was known as Thmascuids successor. Eptih having been gone on his journey was less known then Thiaraceph, he had achieved fame as a child but had not been heard of in years. Eptih was still quite young and so the people gravitated to Thiaraceph as leader. This frustrated Eptih who had never been fond of Thiaraceph. Now that Thiaraceph was trying to establish his authority over Eptih using Eptih’s new relationship with Reyam as a guise Eptih grew dissatisfied and challenged Thiaraceph whenever possible trying to establish his own authority without directly physically confronting him out of respect for his mother.

This plan came to a crashing halt when stories began to surface about the Queid troop that was searching for Eptih, roaming the countryside torturing and killing Mortals for information regarding his whereabouts. All the circumstances were now against him, not only was he flouting convention by taking Reyam and competing with the man everyone looked to as their leader he was now hunted and therefore a great liability. Some, under their breadth, blamed him for the destruction of their town and so Eptih could see the situation for what it was and decided to leave.

May 24, 2008

The Velidian force quickly moved on the town and creating a ruckus woke the inhabitants who became confused, agitated and frightened. It was at this point that the Velidians began to demand the whereabouts of Thmascuid while smashing property and setting dwellings on fire.

Thmascuid was notified as to the intentions of the Velidians and in hopes of staving off further violence presented himself to them. He was quickly taken into their custody and taken away from the view of people. The Queid removed Thmascuid out of the city to where a group of Siradyt was awaiting his arrival. Thmascuid knew that their presence was not a good sign for his future as they hated the heroes and blamed them for inciting much of the troubles.

Thmascuid was tied up and interrogated by the Siradyt. They were curious as to who the stranger they had been tracking was (Eptih) and they wanted to know what they were planning. The Velidians figure they are developing a new uprising, hoping to assemble what remains of the heroes who had survived. They want names and locations of the heroes but Thmascuid refused to give any information. Up till this point Thmascuid had always been a thorn in the side of the Velidians and even though they wanted him dead they did not want to make a martyr of him and foment resistance again them. But things had changed in recent times, the Narcirogen acting as a cancer had reduced the cohesiveness of the Mortals and now the Velidians felt they could do away with the heroes once and for all. And this whole caper was based on Eptih, his alluding capture and returning to the town of Thmascuid gave them the exact cause the needed to finally deal with the Heroes.

Until they were ready to execute Thmascuid in a public showing they restrained him with energy horns. These energy horns were attached to the head and rendered mortals incapable, they made all who wore them seem a pathetic mess. A hero was rendered ineffective when the energy horns were placed a top his head and someone who was once proud and capable became a drooling babbling mess.

When word got back to the people of the town that Thmascuid had been incapacitated and was possibly being tortured their fear turned to rage and an uprising began to take shape, the Mortals fighting with the Queid and attempting to drive them away. Had the Mortals had a capable leader at this point he would have advised them otherwise but they did not and as such they gave the Velidians exactly what they wanted, an excuse to annihilate the town.

The Velidians force moved in on the rioters and began to slay them. The unorganized Mortals soon broke apart and fled in every direction. Followed by the Queid who pursued most to their demise. Within moments the town was completely destroyed and the Mortal population that had resided there for so long was gone.

Eptih who was still at Reyam’s family farm began to see people running by and they were terrorized by what they were running from. Eptih grabbed one of them and forced them to talk and he told him that the town had been destroyed. When Eptih released his grip the man ran away. Eptih could not believe what the man had said but proceeded to the town to look at what had happened.

As Eptih approached he could see the smoke rising and by the amount of smoke that had filed the air Eptih knew the man had not been lying. Eptih covertly entered the town and there was fire all around him and in the town square he saw the body. It was the body of Thmascuid and it had been placed atop a large spike so that it was ten or so feet up in the air and the body was headless. Eptih screamed with his hand over his mouth and yet enough sound escaped to alert the Queid who were guarding the town and Eptih was forced to run into the surrounding forest. He could not believe how events had completely turned his world upside down, and he fearfully wondered what the fate of his mother was. He blamed himself because he had brought the Velidians there, he was solely responsible for the devastation and a rage began to grow within him a rage a million times more powerful then anything he had felt before.

July 18, 2007

Although Eptih was lost and wandering he had a feeling as though he was being guided by some outside force. As he walked he had felt his strength recovering and then it increased beyond what he had known before. He felt powerful and destined and it seemed as though his body and subconscious had aligned into a perfect harmony and that his senses were in tune with his body, this feeling increased his confidence and his desire to assert himself in the Mortal realm upon his eventual return.

Eptih, however was still a long way from being home and although he had a sense he was being guided he had no idea where he was or what he might be walking toward. He never even considered at that moment that his confidence could have been walking him into a situation that would test every ability he possessed nor did he consider that his over bearing confidence may be the result of some false concoction given to him when he was unconscious.

It was at the height of Eptih’s proud moment that he came upon a woman who was washing herself in an icy stream. She appeared older then Eptih was but he admired her form and so he sat quiet and watched her bathe. He studied her form and he began to desire her and in his state of growing conceit decided to take from her what he desired. In an instant he burst forth from his hiding place and attempted to subdue the women but when his hands touched her she turned and transformed into a horrible creature temporarily paralyzing him with fear. Again she transformed, this time into an old hag and Eptih stepped back hoping to turn and flee but was unable to do so when he was subdued by a group of beings he could not yet see. Eptih was now a captive of the woman and she transformed back to her beautiful form.

Eptih was tied up and brought back to Torquis’ habitation and it was at this time that Eptih realized that her party was Queid and due to this he thought the Velidians had captured him. Eptih was placed inside and sat there alone for some time wondering what his fate might be. Eventually Torquis entered and came up close looking him over very closely. He tried to ask her questions but for the moment she paid little attention. When she was done inspecting him she asked what his name was and he told her it was Eptih. That began a conversation whereby Eptih was informed that she was not Velidian but was in fact being hunted by the Velidians. She was the only person known in Existence to be able to control a small band of Spiritform and this skill had angered Velid who now wanted her dead, giving him sole control of all Spiritforms. Torquis told Eptih that she was a sorceress and that she had learned on her own to control Spiritforms. She told him she had killed all those that were now under her control and that she planned on killing him to make him her personal subordinate because she admired his unique appearance and obvious abilities, a sight that she had had never seen before.

Although Torquis planned on killing Eptih she hesitated and days passed. She was becoming infatuated with him and her intrigue turned to lust. She found herslf in a state of perplexity wanting to posses him as a spiritfrom that she could control on one hand and wanting to be couple with him on the other. Her indecision had left Eptih with time and with that time he had worked to free himself and although he had onced lusted for her those feeling had long since turned to anger. The only thing he lusted after if hers now was her blood.

Torquis came to Eptih again having decided to seduce him and began to work her charms, Eptih who had never been with a woman tried to maintain his anger but his will began to breakdown and the act commenced. At this very instance an advanced guard of Velidian Queid who had been searching for her attacked Torquis’ habitation. They quickly destroyed her Queid guard and as they entered her room she told Eptih to flee west and meet her at the Lycevoin Relics with that he fled into the surround landscape barley escaping the grasp of the Velidian Queid.

As Eptih turned to look back he saw Torquis escape and he was glad that he would have the chance to settle the score with her. His first thought was to head to the Lycevoin Relics she had spoken of and at that place ambush and kill her but a part of him still wanted to be with her. He grappled with his thoughts for a moment, trying to decide what to do. He eventually decided to continue north as he had begun and forget about Torquis forever. Eptih did not know it but he was the first to ever escape the hold of Torquis, all others having perished and been turned into her personal cadre. Had he met her at the Lycevoin Relics he might have ended up a Queid slave to her.

The Great Chasm Fortress

Meanwhile, back within Vethrian ruled Existence, the surviving members of the Seven Families began to congregate knowing their greatest enemy Velid was no longer a threat. With Velid gone the Seven Families would now be able to control Existence and exert their strength without restraint realizing plans that had been in progress when the patriarchs were abducted. Much time was spent seeking the hidden location of the dead patriarchs and eventually their resting place was found. Each of the families took their respective patriarch back to their province and used them as an symbol to rally the Mortals of their particular province. This tactic worked well and it brought to light just how malevolent the rule of Velid had been creating great anger in the Mortals and further destabilizing Vethrian rule. Before long the power of the Seven families was reconstituted and again they worked to divide the spoils of provinces of Existence between them without fear of a Vethrian reprisal.

There was a growing demand for justice from many of the Mortals who wanted vengeance against Velids’s secret band that had slaughtered so many Mortals and destroyed so much property on his order. In order to calm the masses the Seven Families began a relentless campaign to force the Vethrians to name the members of the Secret Band. The Mortal masses wanted to put the members of the secret band on trial and eventually execute them, they wanted blood and would not be swayed regardless of the other offers made by the Vethrians. For their part the Vethrians did not want to give up the Secret band for fear of loosing even more of their numbers and thereby their influence in a world where they were already becoming irrelevant.

After much arguing and many threats made by the seven Families the Vethrians were given an ultimatum, either reveal the names of Velid’s secret band or allow Mortals to sit on the Triumvirate. The Seven Families wanted sway over the Vethrian Triumvirate more then anything and were not as concerned with the identities of Velid’s secret band as the masses were. The Seven Families agreed that the usurpation of power was the primary goal and that with Velid gone the Secret Band was not a threat.

Many Vethrians who had secretly supported Velid before began to feel that with the loss of Velid as a force for change, all hope was lost that a flood had begun that could no longer be diverted. This coupled with the possible prosecution of Velids Secret Band caused a foreboding and loss of hope. The Vethrians eventually decided to allow one member of the Triumvirate to be mortal entering as a DiiS but not to reveal the identities of the Secret band. This was the beginning of the end of Vethrain Rule especially as it seemed there were no Vethrians with the spirit to do anything about it. The Vethrians at this point are nearly ruined, no longer willing to risk themselves especially now that they have developed a hatred of the Mortals. The Mortals now had lost their fear of the Vethrians and would use the fact that they were hiding the identities of the Secret Band to establish the validity of more and more demands of a more and more absurd nature. A slide toward chaos seemed inevitable.

Now Velid’s Great Chasm Fortress was completed by the labor of the Sreoth and Velid soon took up residence. With the work done Ebrel advised Velid that he must now do what was necessary to achieve a new level of power and that there was only one way to do this. Ebrel tells Velid he must take a Mortal wife and he must couple with her and produce offspring. Velid, who like all the Vethrians lusted for beautiful Mortal women, was happy to hear this as he now had an excuse to take a Mortal woman. He had suppressed his desire so as not to appear the hypocrite in the past but now was required to fulfil his desire for a great purpose and so he did not question Ebrels advice. Velid blinded by his lust and eagerness to fulfill his desire went off to find himself the best of the Mortal women. He had a memory in his mind of a woman that he had heard many speak of in the past and that he thought he had seen once when she was very young, a woman who received accolades for her beauty, a woman who was young and lithe.

[ Eptian XVI ]

Velid’s whole being was now completely controlled by this strange group, never before had he found himself in such a weak position, at the mercy of some other beings. He could not move or speak and so was forced to listen as this mysterious group explained to him that they were the Graelim and that they had an interest in setting things right in Existence and this could only be achieved through him. They tell him that he was on the right path and that the Mortals were now manipulating the Vethrians toward their own objectives that would eventually bring Vethrian rule down. The Graelim tell Velid he is the only one capable of saving Existence and he must continue his work for the sake of the Vethrians and Existence.

Velid was astonished by the power and knowledge exhibited by the Graelim and so he listened to their words even though at that moment, had he been capable, he would have killed them all.

The Graelim bolstered his confidence and prepared him mentally for the long struggle he would be undertaking. They spoke to him of a new level of power beyond that of the Vethrians that he could achieve if he would follow the advice they were giving him, a power that would make him invincible but a power that could only be obtained by struggle, hardship and difficult choices.

The Graelim tell Velid to heed the instructions of Ebrel as he would be a conduit through which they would instruct him and that Ebrel alone would be his guide to victory. They tell Velid not to think too much about all the questions he has and to let Ebrel bring forth the information needed at the moment it becomes required. Concentrate on bringing as many of the Vethrians as possible over to his side, taking power from the Vethrians and suppressing the rise the Mortals. The Graelim tell Velid he must be absolutely ruthless in this struggle for if he is not, if he slackens in the least he will fail and find himself without power once again. The Graelim let him know if he does not succeed there will be consequences.

The Graelim instruct Velid to go out into Existence with Ebrel and enlist the help of the Sreoth to build a fortress on the edge of the Great Chasm. And so he was released from his captivity and went out with Ebrel to establish himself and to begin his struggle for the dominion of Existence.

As Velid and Ebrel traveled toward the Great Chasm Velid asked Ebrel many questions but Ebrel said that he had no new information to give him and that as soon as he did he would let him know. Velid also asked Ebrel more personal questions, especially about his race, but Ebrel refused to answer saying that the time for questions like those would come later once they had achieved their goals.

Eventually Velid and Ebrel came upon the Great Chasm, the most wretched place in all Existence, a place that inspired fear in the bravest and at this place they set up their temporary camp.

The Great Chasm was first used by the aboriginals of Existence, all of the various Sreoth as a execution ground for all of their criminal elements who had been condemned to death. The criminal would be thrown in from the top usually breaking their bodies on the fall to the bottom and left to die there. Eventually the Mortals came along and used the Great Chasm for much the same purposes at the Sreoth did only adding to the condemned deformed babies seen as unfit and a future burden and all non-conformers. The place reeked of death and was filled with the spirits of many dead who could not find their way back to the surface, the Great Chasm would not even allow sould to flee it grasp. The Great Chasm was the most singular cause of fear in all the inhabitants of Existence. It was the thing by which social order could be maintained. The Vethrians never used the Great Chasm as a punishment but the Mortals applied the sentence to each other more and more as Vethrian rule weakened. No one had seen the bottom and live to speak of it, not even Mortal youth would challenge each other to descend into its depths being too afraid to even mention it. Velid could only assume that the Graelim had told him to build the fortress here in order to frighten the Mortals.

Velid ultimately made a deal with some nearby Sreoth to build the Great Chasm Fortress in exchange for future protection. They did this work with great hesitation due to their fear of the Great Chasm but felt for them protection from the encroaching Mortals would be the best possible idea. And so along this most horibe place arose a fortress from which would allow the evil of the Great Chasm to flow forth into Existence.
